About Us
Poplin Construction was established in 1992 by Tommy and Linda Poplin after Tommy retired from the Army in 1989. Tommy and Linda incorporated family members in September of 1995 forming Poplin Construction, “Inc.” Tommy and Linda officially retired from the family business in December of 2021, passing the torch to James, Jacquie, and Rusty. Under second-generation leadership, Poplin Construction, Inc. continues to thrive. In 2022, James and Jacquie’s son Tim joined the family business, representing the third-generation of ownership. Poplin Construction, Inc. is a distinguished family-owned business in Ocean Shores with a rich history and over three decades of experience. The family-owned business is renowned for their exceptional quality synonymous with the Poplin family name. Each member of the Poplin family brings valuable knowledge and experience to the business.
- James Poplin, the oldest son of Tommy & Linda Poplin serves as the President of the Corporation and lead carpenter. He studied carpentry at Grays Harbor Community College and has been working in construction since 1990. James possesses the knowledge and skills to repair or build anything in residential construction.
- Jacquie Poplin, the wife of James Poplin serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Corporation and office manager. She studied business administration at Grays Harbor Community College with an emphasis in accounting, having worked with the business since 1995.
- Rusty Poplin, the youngest son of Tommy & Linda Poplin serves as a Vice President of the Corporation and a lead carpenter, having worked with the business since 1999, he learned the trade through firsthand experience.
- Tim Poplin, the middle son of James & Jacqueline Poplin serves as a Vice President of the Corporation and a laborer, working with the business since 2022 is eager to learn the trade through firsthand experience.
